This photograph was taken in the early morning hours at Mueller Hut in Mount Cook National Park in New Zealand. It was an amazing trip with glaciers and rugged mountains all around, a grueling 3000 foot climb to get there, and incredible views. This photo not only brings me back to New Zealand, it brings me back to my early photography days of film and using my Dad's all manual Nikon F to learn the fundamentals of photography.
While trying to capture some of the Perseid meteor shower I did a little light painting on the Bald Hill Barn. By chance some other stargazers took a flash picture that made a perfect silhouetted of them! All stacked together it kind of looks like a flying saucer with aliens underneath. © 2016 Peter Lande
